The Colorado Head Start Association (CHSA) supports the work of Head Start programs and their partners with information sharing and advocacy, within the context of the early childhood system in Colorado.

Iliff Community Center Inc., Head Start

Our families are from diverse cultures and ages 3-5 in five (5) classrooms. Each classroom has three paid staff with bi-lingual personnel in each classroom; we employ 23 personnel.

Tri-County Head Start/Quality Early Childhood Programs

We have provided over 35 years of early childhood programming in Southwest Colorado.

Family Star Montessori & Early Head Start

Family Star has revolutionized the approach to educating children from families with low incomes by providing a high quality Montessori program and comprehensive family support services.

Ute Mountain Ute Child Development Center

Our Head Start Program enrolls children ages 3 to 5. The children transition into Kindergarten in nearby Cortez, Colorado. The service area for the Head Start is the Ute Mountain Ute reservation and there are 56 funded slots.

Poudre School District Early Childhood Program

Helping families in our community give their children the best chance for success- from prenatal through preschool.

Boulder County Head Start

The Head Start program is part of the Early Education Department in Denver Public Schools which currently serves approximately 4000 preschool children in public schools and community sites.

Catholic Charities Child Care and Head Start Services’ mission is to promote family and child development through a partnership involving staff, families, children and the community.

Community Partnership for Child Development

CPCD primarily serves families living in poverty, families who have children with special needs, and enlisted military families.

The Center Early Childhood Programs

The Center Early Childhood Programs is located in the mountains of Colorado, at 10,000 feet in Leadville. We serve Head Start, Colorado Preschool Program and tuition children in a blended preschool program.

Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments, Fremont County Head Start

Fremont County Head Start services Fremont County for 170 Head Start eligible children and 32 Colorado Preschool children, ages 3-5.

Founded over 40 years ago, MHM is Denver’s oldest and largest provider of subsidized quality early childhood care and education - serving thousands of Denver’s vulnerable children every year since 1970.

Volunteers of America

Bright Stars Head Start serves 68 children in am/pm sessions in South West Denver and Rainbow Head Start serves 17 children in a pm session.

Eagle County School District Early Childhood Program

The Eagle County School District Early Childhood Program is a blended center-based program which includes Head Start, Colorado Preschool, Early Childhood Special Education and traditional preschool programming.

Wray School District RD-2/Yuma County Head Start

Yuma County Head Start is a center based program serving 34 families in Yuma County.

Rocky Mtn. SER Head Start

Rocky Mountain SER provides Head Start services to 2276 children in 11 Counties and 18 communities within Colorado.

Denver's Great Kids Head Start

Denver's Great Kids Head Start is an award winning program that prepares children to enter kindergarten confidently with the social, physical, emotional, and cognitive skills and competencies necessary for continued school success.
