Fremont County Head Start’s grantee is the Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments. Fremont County Head Start services Fremont County for 170 Head Start eligible children and 32 Colorado Preschool children, ages 3-5. Children attend Monday through Thursday for 6 hours per day and are provided breakfast and lunch, as well as, transportation to and from the Center. Our Program operates September through May. The Center is located between Canon City and Florence, and is housed in a country setting.
